If you’re looking for a casual way to get a couple bucks here and there to spend in the Google Play Store, take a look at Google Opinion Rewards. The concept is very simple: download the app and sign in with your GMail account. When surveys are available you will be notified by the app and can then complete the survey when you have some time. Generally, the surveys have been very short and over a variety of subjects. As with most surveys, the first couple questions determine if you’re their target audience and will either continue with more questions or cut you off right away. I’ve never had one go for more than a minute. Once the survey is complete, you’ll get a cash reward in the form of a credit to use in the Play Store. These can range anywhere from $0.10 to a dollar or two. Occationally, you’ll get a survey that doesn’t pay out anything. I’ve found these are often the surveys I didn’t get past the first question on.
Sounds great right?! Well, here’s the catch…the surveys are few and far between. I’m lucky if I get one review a week. I’m not sure if it’s still a work in progress or just hasn’t taken off yet, but there just aren’t very many surveys being made available. Still, it’s a free app and the surveys are short and painless. After awhile I made it up to around $5 and was able to use it to take a chance on some apps I wouldn’t normally spend the money on.
Bottom line, you’re not going to make a ton of credits quickly, but it’s easy enough that you can spend the few seconds it takes for a survey and eventually build up some money to spend.
